Whenever we, as in the Bootheel, even get the slightest threat of bad weather, grocery stores are packed, Wal-Mart is crazy, and the roads get the salt stripes laid down like a perfect hand in poker.
Today, I wanted to capture an image that embodies the preparation for impending snow and ice. I stood in the middle of Hwy. 84/412 that runs through Hayti and captured a few frames. Even our beloved Judge Keith Currie stopped to ask me what in the world I was doing in the middle of the highway. Then another friend stopped me. Yes, I told you I was crazy.
When I saw that traffic was empty, I got on the ground to get a different view of the pavement. Kind of cool, if you ask me. Or if you don’t ask me. I like it, alot.
very cool stephanie!!! they only treat the roads with that stuff in lexington.
I love your perspective 🙂
Love that perspective – I probably would have hopped out and started shooting with you 😉
