I remember Julia when she was a little girl. Actually, I remember when she was a baby. Her parents lived next door to us when I was in high school. Who would ever know where life would lead us and lead me to photography and lead me to being her senior photographer?

Julia has actually assisted me on a few occasions with photography sessions and so I was more than happy to know that she wanted me to shoot her senior session! She booked almost a year in advance, but I knew the day would be here before we knew it.

We chose a few locations, and some I’d never used with a senior session. We started out in the urban settings, and then moved to the cotton fields for which Southeast Missouri so well-known. Then we moved on to broken-down road, another staple of Southeast Missouri, and then to our final location: a field filled with beautiful sunset light.

We had far too many laughs, and cutting up at the session, and it was crazy how fast it all went. We even had quite the knee-slapping laughter of the make-shift curtain closet blow down by a slight gust of wind – good thing we all have a sense of humor, huh?

I had a great time at the session with you ladies (and guy). I know you’ve been looking forward to your session for some time, as well as mom, but as a mother, I know it was hard to see her only baby girl meet yet another milestone of her senior year. I’m so very happy that you two had a picture made together, mother and daughter, and you will both cherish it as time moves along. Many best wishes on the rest of your senior year, and the path you take after graduation. I know you’ll be success at whatever you do. Much love to you both.
