I’m still shooting my Photo-a-Day Project, but I haven’t had time to process the last 4 days of images. Reason is, my brother, SSG Jon A. Brennan, has come to visit our family, along with his beautiful wife and their two children. My kids were so happy and excited to see their cousins and their “Uncle Bubba” and Aunt Sara. We had a little reunion this weekend with my mom, my sister, and her two children as well. Needless to say, it was loud, crazy, fun, and loud. Oh, I already said loud – and I have five children in my house every day!
Well, they are leaving this morning, and it was bittersweet to see the time fly by so fast in four days. They are on their way to move to Georgia, as that is where my brother has been transferred for the next three years.
We stepped out on Sunday to get a few shots of Uncle Bubba in his nicely decorated uniform – quite impressed, I must say so! Being the big sister (and oldest child), I am proud to see what my brother has accomplished, especially since the road for us hasn’t been an easy one. This is one of the shots I took – I wanted the detail of is uniform, with the medals and honors. I’ll share more of our mini shoot and the images of our weekend, some of them will be part of my photo-a-day series.
Thank you to my brother, to his wife whom also served in our military, and to the many and countless others who have served, continue to serve, and the men and women who have paid the ultimate price by giving their lives in the name of protecting our country. Thank you will be never enough, but know that so many Americans support what you do and will continue to do so.
