I shot this image of my sweet John Cooper for his third birthday. (I’ve yet to upload those images to the blog yet!) I super love it and it just captures my little sweetheart in such a sweet way.

Recently, Confessions of a Prop Junkie (a inspiration blog for photographers) posted about image submissions for toddlers. Cooper is still sort of a toddler, right at 3 years old, but I just knew I had to submit this image. Hundreds of images get submitted with each theme that is posted and so the odds of getting chosen are slim. But guess what? This image was chosen as one of the featured images for toddlers theme! I was super excited and very happy because not only is it an image I planned out and shot, but it’s always my own child.
