This is my favorite full shot from the cemetery images I shot after my snow mini sessions. Upon shooting the first set of images from this angle, I didn’t notice the name on a specific tombstone until I looked through the images on my camera. Upon close inspection, I realized that McCall was in fact my friend, Kim McCall‘s mother, who passed away a few short years ago. Then I gathered in closer to shoot some more images. What I loved about this image was not only the sunlight, the sky, the beautiful mass of tombstones so beautifully decorated with flowers against the pure white, untouched snow, but the fact that her mother’s headstone stands out in this image. With Kim’s permission, I’m sharing this image for her and for the beauty of peaceful place of rest.
