Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know.

And YOU are the guy girl who’ll decide where to go.

–Excerpt from “Oh The Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss

My baby girl graduated from preschool last week and it’s hard to believe she’s moving on to kindergarten. (Although, as her mother, I think she just needs to move on to junior high and call it a day.) I’m currently in a workshop about being creative and we had several snippets from this book from which to choose our storytelling theme in images.

Being literal, and not having a specific snippet in mind, I just shot some things of her outside playing and then went back to the assignment to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I love it and I’m happy for my baby girl (and her teachers, of whom she’s tested the patience many, many times throughout the year. But they love her.)

Oh, by the way, I’m still doing my own Project Twelve, but I’ve been slacking on posting them, so this one is May’s project. Hopefully, I’ll get around to posting the past few months. (But, don’t hold your breath.)
