Photo-A-Day | Documenting my children every day for the month of January.
Sixteen days at home with the kids.
We played. We cooked. We celebrated. We medicated the sickness.
Fought. Argued. Slept. Laughed. Cried.
Stayed up late. Woke up even later.
We put away some decorations. We organized and straightened up.
Then messed it all up again.
Watched movies. Played in the snow. Ate lots of ice cream and pie and food that fattened us.
Somedays, we didn’t even brush our hair. Or take a bath. Or change out of our pajamas.
It was the best Christmas and Christmas break ever.
Even with the sickness and teething.
Even with being trapped in the house.
Even with each other, every single day.
The laughter, the sobs, the sickness, the joy.
I want to remember this.
This morning, every one was up and at ’em, ready to start back to the routine.
School. Homework. Baths. Hair. Early bedtimes. Limited Kindle time.
And they look as excited as can be.
Except Harper and Cooper who did not know how to react to an early morning.
